The Jungian approach to psychotherapy is creative, imaginative and enlivening.
CREATIVITY
C.G. Jung’s greatest contribution to psychology is probably his discovery of an unconscious inner world. Jung was particularly interested in the huge scope of our inner life, and our capacity for creativity and development throughout our lives. We all have within us the capability to heal ourselves.
ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION
Of course, our inner world can also be a source of problems and difficulties. If we feel stuck, depressed, anxious or lost it can be helpful to look within ourselves, to seek what is underlying these feelings. We may not be able to change the outer conditions of our lives, but perhaps we can change our inner patterns, attitudes and responses, so that the whole picture of our situation begins to change, like a kaleidoscope.
THE JUNGIAN APPROACH TO ENERGY AND LIFE
Analytical psychology evolved from the work of C.G. Jung. As professional analytical psychologists, we are also known as Jungian analysts or therapists (and sometimes known as Depth Psychologists). We are trained to help bring the complex inner world to consciousness. By disentangling inner conflicts and gaining more freedom from the past, it may be possible to live more fully in the present. This process can release energy for your life ahead or help you find a new approach to what cannot be changed – a loss perhaps. Jung talked of individuation, the task of growing towards a greater sense of your own unique being.
