I taught for a short time and spent some years working in a financial environment before training as an analyst and therapist. I am a training analyst with the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists where I have held various offices and been a member of council, acting presently as coordinator for their training programme. I teach and lecture here and abroad and am currently working as a supervisor in the IAAP’s training team in St. Petersburg. My private practice is situated just north of Monmouth and about half an hour’s drive south of Hereford.

I am particularly interested in the interface between psychology, literature and art. I find that developing awareness and appreciation of story and image in the inner world can enrich an individual’s exploration of unconscious material, leading sometimes back to the seeds of an individual history and sometimes forwards to the developments an inner self is struggling for… or more often in both directions at once.

Being a Jungian analyst has brought me into contact with individuals from all walks of life. So I have worked with many people and groups particularly artists, doctors, medical specialists and others who have reached a challenging time in their lives and partnerships or are feeling low.

Having taught, then worked for a university I trained at WPF Counselling and Psychotherapy followed by Association of Jungian Analysts in London before moving to Herefordshire. I still work in London once a month with groups of staff in hospices, but I work mainly from St Margarets and in Hereford. My personal interests are in the arts, and professionally in ethics, while also being responsible for the development of Jungian training in Poland.

I work as a Jungian psychotherapist and analyst, and my private practice is situated in central Hereford. I qualified as a member of the Association of Jungian Analysts in 2005, and am registered with UKCP and IAAP. Before training to become a Jungian analyst, I worked in education, lecturing in art history in further and higher education. I have also worked in social care, creative art practice, and community arts provision in local government.

In the context of my work in analytical psychology, I have a particular interest in the creative imagination continually at work in the psyche, as it is shown in mythology, folk tales, art and dreams. The imaginative motifs and ideas found in such sources are known to arise spontaneously in the individual psyche, and can with reflection help to reveal the demands of the soul. Living a more symbolic life can lead towards psychological and spiritual transformation.

In recent years I have continued to contribute to the ongoing discussions in the development of Jungian thought both locally and at national level, and have explored themes in depth through a range of Jungian seminars, offering opportunities for others to explore Jungian ideas in the Hereford area. I am the coordinator of the Jungian Seminars in Hereford, and am a member of the Confederation for Analytical Psychology.
